Michael Nyenty

Professional drummer, educator and groovemaker based in Paris—helping complete beginners and experienced players make confident, musical progress.

Drummer & educator

A clear path, not random exercises

Michael received a scholarship following his entrance audition at the American School of Modern Music in Paris. After graduating, he was invited back by the school to teach drums and masterclasses and to lead band ensembles. He is also the author of educational drum books created in collaboration with musicians including Eric Harland and Brian Blade.

His teaching connects technique to music. Beginners start with practical grooves, coordination and real songs; experienced drummers work on the details that unlock stronger time, sound and expression.
